Patron Saint of Gardening
Cutting off Flax leaves and pruning fruit trees and a general garden tidy up are chores that continue giving after the initial job has ended. While pruning and cutting is tough and often leads to cuts, splinters and muscle spasms, the joy continues to removing the resulting garden waste. Unfortunately, we are not able to conveniently magic the material away. Taking advantage of the wet ground and the good weather, Chris decided to burning off a portion of the garden debris. It was also a test to see if flax burns. Spoiler alert, it does.
I took this opportunity to test a new film recipe. This recipe was inspired by images shot by Enoch Ho on Fujifilm Super Xtra 400 film. The harsh afternoon light accentuated the contrast between shadows and highlight and made the vibe completely different from Enoch’s photos but I still loved the images.
