There is one spot in Auckland City that I love to photograph. Straight out of the Takutai Square end of Britomart Train Station and 30ms to the right lies Oji Sushi. On dark winter and spring mornings, the way the shop is lit and designed, looks like a colourful Kermit the Frog when viewed from the left. It is quite possibly, my favourite spot to make images in the city.
I love the combination of colourful glass panes and the square Oji Sushi sign. The colourful scene welcomes me most morning as I arrive into the city for a day's work. The well positioned street lights on the footpath create brilliant opportunities to light subjects as they pass.
Here are some images taken earlier this week. I've also put together a video of with scenes captures this week and a few images shot in the past.
My favourite image. I spotted the cyclist as he left Amano with a coffee and hope he would cycle down the footpath rather than move onto the road.
