Moo Neighbours
My office used to be at the back of the house facing a small backyard and my greenhouse. It was a small cosy spot with a nice frontal view of greenery. I made the decision to swap rooms with my yoga room last year to improve my internet connectivity with a direct connection to my modem. This has significantly improved the stability of my internet connection and made working from home more accessible. The unexpected bonus of this move is that I’m now working in a room which gets a lot of sun in the morning. As cosy as the previous spot was, it was the room in the house that had the least sun and it gets really cold in winter. I’m now basking in early morning sun, when it is not hiding, as I log on and start work.
The view from the new office has moved from behind the monitor to the French doors on the side. This door opens out to a view of our garden as it slopes down to our neighbour’s property. It is a lush view of greenery all year round. And from a wedge formed by trees bordering a piece of pasture land, I get to see our neighbours belted galloways when they are moved onto this piece of land for grazing. They are quite a sight to behold.
